Seiad Valley to Bigfoot Highway
Mileage: 41.3
Resupply: Seiad Valley
The Red Buttes are so named because the majority of the mountains in the wilderness are built of Serpentines. Once you climb the Devil’s Backbone from the Klamath River, the trail follows a long, often dry, ridgeline on what is known as the Boundary Trail. In the western part of the region, the trail passes several lakes before reaching the Bigfoot Highway.
