We are $3000 short to fund this year’s trip
As autumn approaches & cooler temps beckon, we look forward to our favorite annual trail event. Later this month, a dozen CCC corpsmembers will arrive in Etna after 6 months in the backcountry. They will spend a day in civilization before heading back into the backcountry — this time on the Bigfoot Trail in the Siskiyou Wilderness.
With their trail-honed experience & a bit of “sweat equity” we’ll restore one of the most beautiful stretches of trail in the Siskiyou Mountains. Success is within striking distance but we need your help! While we have already written grants for $17,000, one grant came up short. BFTA has just 3 weeks to raise the last $3,000 needed to provision these 12 dedicated young people with travel, meals, stipends, & supplies for a week of trail work. Since 2019, this annual CCC outing has restored over 18 miles of Siskiyou trails & with your help, this year will be our best ever. BFTA will leverage your donation with generous support from the Rose Foundation & Del Norte County Resource Advisory Committee. Donations of $150 or more will be honored with a Bigfoot Trail HAT!
