We have been funded by the Rose Foundation!
The Climate Change and Citizen Science Along the Bigfoot Trail project will establish a series of six citizen-maintained photographic plots along the trail. This grant-funded project will establish a baseline for monitoring climate change, create a citizen science experience for trail users, and develop a deeper sense of place for wildland recreators in the Klamath Mountains.
The Bigfoot Trail Alliance will be working this summer to establish these six plots for our baseline data. Along the trail this will include getting to each site to take photos in the four cardinal directions and taking field notes about each site. Back home we will create a webpage to highlight each of the photo-points, with directions to each, and establish a database for hikers to upload their photos and notes about each point along the trail.

We will have more updates about this project soon and thanks for supporting the Bigfoot Trail Alliance.
